Lynn Edge

Client Care Team

Numbers geek and greyhound mum

Lynn is a numbers geek, an Indian food enthusiast and a devoted greyhound mum – our Client Care team wouldn’t be quite the same without her! She’s brilliant with a spreadsheet, loves a good chat and is always happy to help. Just don’t ask her to choose her favourite Indian cookbook… there are far too many!

Having lived in Buckley with her husband Mike for over 30 years, Lynn is very much at home in the local area and loves being part of the community.

Before joining GSP, Lynn spent 22 years working for Lloyds Banking Group, starting out as a Finance Analyst before progressing to Manager of an analytical function. Clearly, numbers, organisation and spreadsheets are her thing! After taking redundancy in 2010, she continued to put her skills to good use, volunteering as Treasurer for a number of dog rescue charities – something very close to her heart.

Lynn originally came to GSP as a patient, but we decided we weren’t letting her go! After a little friendly persuasion (or perhaps a spot of abduction!), she swapped her patient hat for a place on the Client Care team. She already knew what a lovely place the clinic was and what a fantastic team worked here, so it seemed like the perfect fit.

Lynn loves keeping busy, meeting new people and, most importantly, having a good chat with our patients. She says it’s the people who make the job so enjoyable – everyone has a story to tell, and she loves hearing them!

She’s also a big fan of physiotherapy and firmly believes you don’t have to struggle on with aches and pains. Having experienced the benefits of GSP herself, her advice is simple: get yourself booked in – you won’t regret it!

Away from the clinic, much of Lynn’s time revolves around her beautiful rescue greyhound, Dixie, who is almost 10. She’s passionate about greyhound rescue and loves spending time walking and relaxing with him. Her husband Mike is retired and a keen cyclist, which means she spends quite a bit of time enjoying the countryside… rescuing him from the roadside when he gets yet another puncture. Every cyclist needs a support crew!

When she’s not out walking Dixie or rescuing cyclists, you’ll probably find Lynn in the kitchen cooking up something delicious, particularly Indian food. She has a serious collection of cookery books, although apparently there’s always room for one more. She’s also a self-confessed numbers and spreadsheet geek – some people relax with a book, others open Excel!

Her perfect evening? A bottle of red wine, a good Indian takeaway and absolutely no spreadsheets. We think that’s a pretty good recipe for happiness!
