Hello there!

Put your feet up, grab a cuppa and let's meet the team.

Joe Herbert

Physiotherapist

Wirral-born Joe ‘stumbled’ into physiotherapy after injuring his knee playing football when he was a teenager. This led him to the world of physiotherapy and sparked a career of helping others recover and perform.

Joe studied Sport and Exercise Science at Loughborough University before qualifying as a physiotherapist at Manchester Metropolitan University with First Class Honours in 2023. He began his career in the NHS with Merseycare where he worked in the community and learned the difficulties people face when recovering in their own homes, particularly in relation to falls prevention and elderly care.

Joe’s next step took him ‘down under’ where he spent time in Perth, Australia working as a consultant and managing ‘return to work’ programs. He later joined a busy private clinic where he developed skills in manual therapy, massage, taping, dry needling and functional rehab, as well as treating a wide range of injuries and running group rehab and strength and balance classes for adults.

Joe takes a tailored, exercise-led approach to treatment, supported by his personal training background and deep understanding of biomechanics. Joe has played semi-professional football as well as completing marathons, which gives him a unique insight into sports-related injuries.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll most likely find Joe running, at the gym, running, at Everton, or (you guessed it) running. When he does finally sit still, Joe says he likes to plan out his next travel adventure!
